Set up emergency transfers

PlanPlus
Time10 minutes
Who does itYou decide, we set it
Short answer

You tell us what counts as an emergency and whose phone should ring. When a caller describes one, the agent can transfer the call live, text the details to your on call person, or both. If the first number doesn't answer, it can try a backup number.

Decide what counts as urgent

Example

Roofing: water coming through the ceiling now Plumbing: burst pipe, sewage backup, no water HVAC: no heat in freezing weather, no AC for elderly or medical needs Electrical: sparking, burning smell, power out to part of the house Auto repair: customer stranded, tow needed

Decide what happens

Live transferThe call goes straight to your on call phone. Choose a warm transfer, where the agent tells your tech who is calling and why before connecting, or a cold transfer, where it connects right away.
Text alertYour on call person gets the caller's name, number, address, and problem by text.
Backup numberIf the first phone doesn't pick up, the agent tries a second one.

If no one answers

The agent tells the caller someone will call back within a set time, and the details go to your on call numbers by text. Pick a callback time you can actually keep.
